FDCA is very excited to announce that for the first time since 2009, the FDCA National Conference will be held in Hobart from 28-30 October 2021.
The conference will take place at the Hotel Grand Chancellor and combines Hobart's unique history, picturesque harbour, rugged mountains, gourmet food, arts and cultural scene, the FDCA 2021 National Conference is an event not to be missed.
To ensure that the conference is as accessible as possible for members, FDCA has heavily subsidised tickets to the 2021 National Conference for FDCA members. Early-bird tickets are now available for $599; representing a substantial saving on previous conferences.
FDCA Members are also able to access exclusive 6 and 12 month payment plans for full conference registrations.
Known as Australia's premier family day care conference, the FDCA National Conference has a proud history of bringing together stakeholders from the family day care and early childhood education and care sector to connect and discuss key issues that are impacting the sector.
We are also pleased to announce that our first keynote speaker for the conference has been confirmed with Dr Helen May set to join delegates at the conference.
Dr May began her career in education as an early years teacher; later working in childcare and then teacher education. In the 1990s, Helen worked with Margaret Carr, in the development of Te Whariki, the New Zealand national early childhood curriculum.
Helen has been involved in advocacy work and advisory roles regarding a range of policy initiatives in both New Zealand and international settings. Her research has focussed on early childhood policy, history and curriculum and is spoken and published widely both within New Zealand and overseas.
