When is the Family Day Care Australia 2018 National Conference being held?

The conference will begin with a welcome function on Thursday, 6 September 2018, followed by two days of conferencing on 6-7 September 2018 and will close with the conference gala dinner on the evening of Saturday, 8 September 2018.

Where is the 2018 conference being held?

Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre – Broadbeach Queensland

Where can I find the conference program?

The conference program will be released closer to the conference date. For program updates please keep an eye on the FDCA 2018 National Conference website and on updates from FDCA via e-bulletins and JiGSAW magazine.

Is parking available at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre?

When is the welcome reception?

Thursday, 6 September 2018 from 6pm – 8pm. This will be located at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Hall 1.

When is the gala dinner?

Saturday, 8 September 2018 from 7pm – 11pm. This will be located at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Arena 2.

 

Registration

How can I purchase conference tickets?

Ticket sales for the conference have now closed. If you have any ticketing enquiries please contact events@fdca.com.au.

I am a member of Family Day Care Australia. Do I receive a discount on my conference ticket?

Yes, as a member of Family Day Care Australia you will receive a discount on your conference ticket.

I am not a member of Family Day Care Australia can I still attend the conference?

Yes, if you are not a member of Family Day Care Australia you are more than welcome to still attend the conference.  Significant discounts to Family Day Care Australia members do apply to the conference tickets so we do recommend for you to join prior to purchasing your ticket to take advantage of the discount.

Do I have to pay for the conference upfront?

No, this year Family Day Care Australia is pleased to offer members a payment plan for conference tickets. 

Can you take my registration details over the phone?

Yes, if you prefer to register over the phone please call the conference team on 1800 658 699.

Can I get a refund if I cancel my registration?

Yes, if you cancel before the 6th July 2018 a full refund (minus any booking fees) will be given.  After this date no refunds will be provided.

If I cannot attend, can I transfer my registration to someone else?

No, all tickets are non-transferable.

 

Payment Plans 

Can I use the payment plan option on all tickets?

No. The payment plan option is only available to FDCA members who purchase a FDCA Member: Early Bird, Full Registration bundle.

The Non FDCA Member: Early Bird Full Registration bundle and individual tickets cannot be bought on the payment plan and the full amount is required to secure tickets.

How does the payment plans work?

Once you have selected the FDCA Member: Early Bird, Full Registration bundle, click on the “Get Tickets” button, you will then be directed to a summary of your tickets, here you will be able to select either the “No payment plan. Pay order in full now” or be able to select “Pay in xx instalments.” See payment schedule below.

After selecting payment type, click “Checkout”, this will then take you to a page asking for the delegates contact details. Once all mandatory questions have been answered, click continue and enter payment details.

If you have selected the “No payment plan. Pay order in full now” the full amount will be charged to your credit card.

If you have selected the “Pay in xx instalments” the first instalment will be charged to your credit card immediately and all remaining instalments will be taken on the 1st of each month, irrespective of the date your purchased your ticket.

What is the payment schedule?

For FDCA Member: Early Bird Full Registration bundles purchased between 1 June 2017 and 31 October 2017.

Your first instalment of $69.50 will be debited on the day that purchase your tickets. All remaining payments of $69.50 will be on the 1st of every month for the following nine months, irrespective of the date you purchased your ticket.

Eg; if you were to purchase your ticket on any date in June 2017 your payment schedule would be as follows:

First instalment of $69.50 will be debited on date of transaction in June 2017

Second instalment of $69.50 will be debited on 1 July 2017

Third instalment of $69.50 will be debited on 1 August 2017

Fourth instalment of $69.50 will be debited on 1 September 2017

Fifth instalment of $69.50 will be debited on 1 October 2017

Sixth instalment of $69.50 will be debited on 1 November 2017

Seventh instalment of $69.50 will be debited on 1 December 2017

Eighth instalment of $69.50 will be debited on 1 January 2018

Ninth instalment of $69.50 will be debited on 1 February 2018

Tenth instalment of $69.50 will be debited on 1 March 2018

Please be aware that the 10 instalments payment option is only available with tickets purchased on or before 31 October 2017.  

For FDCA Member: Early Bird Full Registration bundles purchased between 1 November 2017 and 31 March 2018.

Your first instalment of $139.00 will be debited on the day that purchase your tickets. All remaining payments of $139.00 will be on the 1st of every month for the following five months, irrespective of the date you purchased your ticket.

Eg; if you were to purchase your ticket on any date in November 2017 your payment schedule would be as follows:

First instalment of $139 will be debited on date of transaction in November 2017

Second instalment of $139 will be debited on 1 December 2017

Third instalment of $139 will be debited on 1 January 2018

Fourth instalment of $139 will be debited on 1 December 2018

Fifth instalment of $139 will be debited on 1 February 2017

Please be aware that the 5 instalment payment option is only available with tickets purchased on or before 31 March 2018. After which all tickets must be paid in full. 

For FDCA Member: Early Bird Full Registration bundles purchased between 1 April 2018 and 30 April 2018.

Your first instalment of $137.75 will be debited on the day that purchase your tickets. All remaining payments of $137.75 will be on the 1st of every month for the following four months, irrespective of the date you purchased your ticket.

Eg; if you were to purchase your ticket on any date in April 2018 your payment schedule would be as follows:

First instalment of $137.75 will be debited on date of transaction in April 2018

Second instalment of $137.75 will be debited on 1 May 2018

Third instalment of $137.75 will be debited on 1 June 2018

Fourth instalment of $137.75 will be debited on 1 July 2018

Please be aware that the 4 instalment payment option is only available with tickets purchased on or before 30 April 2018. After which all tickets must be paid in full.

 

 

Events

How much does it cost to attend the Welcome Reception?

A ticket to the welcome function is $95 for both members and non members.

How much does it cost to attend the Gala Dinner?

A ticket to the gala dinner is $132 for both members and non members.

How much does it cost to attend only one day of the conference?

A ticket to attend only 1 day of the conference is $495 for both members and non members.

Can I just attend the exhibition?

No, the exhibition is only open to those with a conference ticket for that day.

Can my partner attend the gala dinner?

Yes, your partner is more than welcome to attend the gala dinner. A ticket will need to be purchased at a cost of $132.
